I'm Angie Christakis, a certified PMC Artist and Jewellery Artist. I run my workshop/gallery in Horsham, rural Victoria.
I was fortunate enough to be introduced to PMC - Precious Metal Clay and trained as a Certified PMC Artist by Maggie Bergman, Senior PMC Teacher and PMC Master. I have worked closely with Maggie Bergman for the past year or so at her Victorian studio in Brunswick, Melbourne and her Gold Coast Studio in Nerang. She is truly an amazing woman and an exceptional and well respected Jewellery Artist both nationally and internationally.
Maggie Bergman has introduced me to a range of different mediums and techniques to create truly unique pieces of jewellery. The most recent being Copper Fold Forming...truly superb!!! So my thanks to Maggie Bergman for sharing her knowlegde, techniques and inspiration I use in my work.
I use sterling silver, titanium, copper, resin, polymer clay, precious metal clay, glass and fine silver just to name a few, to create truly unique and interesting pieces of jewellery.
Angelfunk Studio is not only my little work hub, where I make fine jewellery and constantly experiment with different mediums, but also my teaching studio. Nestled upstairs at the Top End of Firebrace Street, amongst other practising artists...it has become my litle haven for creating and teaching. Come and see what has taken the world by storm. Experience the art of making fine silver jewellery with the simplest of hand tools. You will be amazed.
I offer a large number of different workshops in Precious Metal Clay, Copper Enamelling and Enamelling on PMC and Dichroic Glass Fusing just to name a few. Please refer to my Workshops Offered page for a full list of the workshops I am currently offering. They are generally two day workshops (9.15am - 3.15pm) but I am flexible and can cater for your personal needs and requirements.
All of my workshops are available as a one on one and as a group booking and it does not cost extra either way. I have found that running workshops this way is much more conventient for everyone rather than just having prescheduled workshop dates. It is a much more relaxed atmosphere and cuts alot of the waiting time in class and allows everyone to fully finish their jewellery pieces before the end of the workshop.
Come with a friend, or a group of friends....learn new skills and have fun at the same time. Imagine surprising your relatives and friends during a special occassion with hand made fine silver gifts that you have created using Precious Metal Clay.
Or maybe surprise the creative family member or friend with a voucher for one of the workshops.
Have a browse through the gallery pages and through the workshop pages. I will attempt to update the gallery pages with my recent work as soon as I can.
Please register your interest for any of the workshops via email through this website or give me a call and we can tailor a workshop to suit you.
Stay creative and happy
Angie
